At the CIBS’ annual scholarship awards dinner on April 9, at Opia Restaurant in Manhattan, two accomplished students in Rutgers University’s Packaging Engineering program were presented with the Eugene M. Roberts Memorial Scholarship. More than 15 applicants were eligible.

CIBS president Laura Carey kicked off the festivities, and Mike Warford, scholarship chairperson, introduced two of the distinguished faculty members from Rutgers in attendance—Hae Chang Gea, professor and director of the Packaging Engineering program; and Harry Bennett, adjunct professor, packaging engineering—and presented the awards.

The recipients are both Juniors at Rutgers, majoring in Packaging Engineering: Anh Lee and Damien Soriente.
